Website Samples
I’ve created quite a few projects over the years and I’m not going to show all of them since I believe in focused presentation.
Here are a few examples of some of my more recent projects in various categories.
Site completely created in Flash. This was a media company that needed a website with visual impact but still wanted to maintain a sense of simplicity. A full Flash site was an appropriate choice in this case since branding was the main priority with an occasional update to their Project links.
A more typical XHTML tables based content heavy website for a study abroad agency. Emphasis is on the text content, ease of navigation around the site and creating a pleasing but straightforward experience for the visitor. Some multimedia Flash elements are used to pique visual interest such as flash animations at the bottom of some pages and videos of countries and class experiences.
One of many template based designs created for Contractor Marketing Services. CMS is a company that creates sites for trade contractors nationwide. This has undergone a few changes since I last designed it, but nonetheless an example of a pure CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) based website. Pure CSS based websites are easier for Search Engines to index in many cases, easier to print correctly and to maintain. The goal of these templates was to present a professional image while remaining simple to use and update across a wide range of templates. Sites templates needed to communicate a sense of professionalism while at the same time indicate on a subconscious level that the contractors offered reasonable prices. Going with the high end, slick, minimalist look popular with many web designs would be counter productive from the customer’s point of view.

Banner Samples
A number of banners in standard sizes, both in Flash and conventional jpegs and gifs made for a language school. Every effort was made to hold down file size but still engage the viewer in a focused, interesting manner.

Standalones
Costa Rican Active Desktop
Flash desktop “multimedia wallpaper”. This is a branding tool that enables the company to keep its name in front of potential customers. It incorporates a high degree of interactivity and a number of video elements.
Anna Wyckoff
A costume designer’s portfolio CD. Because it was designed to be accessed from a CD, clicked images from the portfolio will not appear. However, you can still get a sense of the interface design. The interface is quite different from the norm but I’ve been told it’s been quite successful and engaging for her industry clients.
